BEST of TURKEY (07 Days)

St Sophia is famous in particular for its massive dome, it is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture. It was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years, until the completion of the Medieval Seville Cathedral in 1520.
It was built during the Roman Period in 115-117 and maybe the most important remains of the Ephesus antique city. The building reflects the characteristics of the age of Emperor Hadrian and Roman architecture.
Pamukkale, which have been in use since the 2nd Century BC, Hierapolis was a place to retire for its health benefits. The springs were managed into baths by huge stone blocks which slid in and out of place without cement.
The Cappadocia region is largely underlain by sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams, and ignimbrite deposits erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 9 to 3 million years ago (late Miocene to Pliocene epochs).

AEGEAN DISCOVERY (08 Days)

Rumeli Fortress is built in 1452 with order from Mehmet 2nd the Conqueror to stop any support coming for Byzantium through the Bosphorus. The architect is Muslittin Bey and the construction is completed in such a short time of only 4 months.
Pergamum was a major city in western Asia Minor in New Testament times. It lies in a spacious valley, sixteen miles from the Aegean Sea in what is today the country of Turkey.
The famous Ephesus Library was situated to the south of the Agora. This elegant monument was built in A.D. 135 by Julius Aquila in memory of his father, Celsus Polemaeanus of Sardis, Roman Senator and Proconsul of the province of Asia.

TASTE of HISTORY (09 Days)

The ancient Hippodrome, scene of chariot races and the centre of Byzantine civic life, stands in the area that is now in front of the Blue Mosque, and now part of Sultanahmet.
Aphrodisias has been sacred to the Mother Goddess since 5800 B.C. The city was named Aphrodisias, for Aphrodite, in the second century B.C.E., and it remained a pagan stronghold long after Christianity came to the region.
White terraced pools of Pamukkale's hot springs, the result of thousands of years of deposits by the calcium rich hot springs.
Inside these rock cut tombs, the entrances of which generally face west, are klines or stone slabs on which the bodies were laid.

ELEGANT TURKEY (10 Days)

The palace was constructed between 1459 and 1478 and rapidly grew to become a jumbled complex of elaborate living quarters and administrative offices.
Uchisar Castle is a rocky volcanic outcrop located in the village of Uchisar. The rock is riddled with tunnels and caves. From the top of the rock you have great views of Goreme and Cappadocia.
Pergamum is a pre-Greek name presumably meaning "height" or "elevation." The earliest city was built atop a cone-shaped Acropolis rising over a thousand feet above the surrounding valley.
Afrodisias, was already an important place in neolithic times, most of monuments date from Roman times: a theatre, a double agora, baths of Hardian a bishops palace, a staidum and an odeon.
