Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya Tour (4 Days)
DAY 1 – Arrival in Izmir / Ephesus Region Tour (L) On arrival in Izmir Airport, you will be met by your tour guide & you will proceed to the Ancient City of Ephesus, the great city & metropolitan center of the Antiquity, the best preserved Greco-Roman City in the world. Here you will see the Agora, Odeon, Curetes Street, Celsius Library, famous Roman Baths, the Grand Theatre and Marble Street. After lunch at local restaurant, day tour will continue with a visit the House of Virgin Mary where she is said to be brought here by St. John & have spent the last of her days. Here you will have the chance to see the shrine & small chapel which is a pilgrimage sight just recently visited by Pope Benedict. The tour also includes a visit to the remains of Artemis Temple & before a visit to the old Greek Village of Sirince. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel in Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 2 – Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour / Drive to Antalya (B,L) After breakfast & check-out, you will be driven to Pamukkale to visit the ancient city of Hierapolis with the Temple of Apollo, the breathtaking Theater, the fascinating Necropolis and the last the great baths of Hierapolis antique city, where St. Philip was martyred. St. Philip is connected with the early church in Hierapolis and played an important role in Pamukkale the history of the city. Finally we visit the calcium terraces and pools. After the tour, you will be driven to Antalya with the evening at your leisure to explore and enjoy the old city of Antalya and ancient harbor. Overnight in Antalya.
DAY 3 – Perge, Aspendos, Side Tour (B,L) After breakfast, depart to visit Perge, an important city of ancient Pamphylian, Perge was originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 BC. . The theater stage has finely carved marble reliefs; other carvings from around the city are displayed in the stadium. After lunch, proceed to Aspendos one of the best preserved theatres in the world with seating for 15,000. Nearby stand the remains of a basilica, agora and one of the largest aqueducts in Anatolia. It is commonly believed that Aspendos was founded by colonist from Argos. You day tour will conclude with the visit of Side, an ancient site with attractions which include Agora, the Gymnasium, the Apollo Temple and the ancient harbor. Ovenight in Antalya.
DAY 4 – Check-Out / Transfer to Airport (B) After breakfast, check-out & you will be transferred to Antalya Airport for your onward flight.
