DELPHI & MONASTERIES (03 Days)

The Tholos at the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia in Delphi, Greece, was a circular building constructed between 380 and 360 BC.

The monasteries are built on spectacular natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Peneios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece. The Meteora is home to six monasteries and is included on the UNESCO

DAY 01 – Delphi
Leave Athens early in the morning (approx. 08:20) to Delphi via the National highway, passing by the towns of Thebes - Levadia (quick Stop) and Arachova. Visit to the Museum of Delphi with its Spectacular finds including the World famous Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos, then to the Ancient Sanctuary of the Greek God Apollo. Afternoon is free. Overnight & Dinner in Delphi.

DAY 02 – Kalambaka and Meteora Monasteries
Morning is free in Delphi. Departure to Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of majestic grey rocks, and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries. Passing through picturesque villages and towns of Central Greece. Overnight & Dinner in Kalambaka (Meteora)

DAY 03 – Meteora
Visit to Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with ageless monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between Earth and Heaven, rooted on huge rocks. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopile (passing by the Leonidas monument). Arriving in Athens early in the evening.
